    I went here with a buddy of mine for a late lunch after riding the back roads for a bit. I really wasn't expecting much. It was a small place, but very welcoming. I ordered the Reuben sandwich and some jalapeno caps. I love Reuben sandwiches, and this one was so delicious. I was bewildered that this little place had such wonderful corned beef and the saurkraut wasn't lacking either. The service was excellent. I don't think my glass was ever empty. The staff were very kind and polite. Overall, this Tavern is a great little gem.

    Great small town pub In downtown mcconnelsville. Good food, good beer, friendly staff. These are the small businesses we need to support as proud Americans!

    Service was slow, the lady that waited on us was more interested in making sure the table behind us was taken care of...she would run off do what ever, then run back and talk with them more. I asked for mustard, had to ask for it twice before I even got it. She never smiled and wasn't worth the tip my spouse left her.

    Very good food! We had to try the Jumbo stuffed Tater Kegs....oh my goodness!!! Don't ever take them off the menu! :) Nice atmosphere and friendly staff.

    Nice menu, friendly service and a very short walk to the Opera house.
